For the second year in a row, Southwest Media Group, one of the Southwest’s premier media and marketing services agencies, has been recognized in The Dallas Morning News’ annual “Top 100 Places to Work”special section. SMG was the only advertising and marketing firm to make the list, and ranked seventh in the small company category.
The Dallas Morning News says 1,275 companies were nominated and more than 300 participated in the fifth-annual survey. Employees rate their companies in areas including pay and benefits, management, execution and direction.
The report singled out SMG for implementing morale-boosting employee ideas including a group trip to South by Southwest Interactive. The report also cited SMG’s innovative flexible work policy in its “Little Perks Speak Volumes on Appreciation” section.
“Making this list for a second year in a row tops off another strong year at SMG. We’ve worked hard to preserve our culture while focusing on growth, and the credit goes to our talented, creative employees for making both possible.”Bob Nichol, Southwest Media Group founder and CEO
In 2013, SMG grew its client roster to include Taco Cabana, Pollo Tropical, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Skullcandy and more. The agency also acquired award-winning digital agency YELLOW7 Interactive to expand client services with added capabilities, and drew hundreds of attendees for its fourth annual experiential digital summit, “Immersion 2013: Explore Your Digital Soul,” to learn from thought leaders in a wide variety of emerging technologies and services.
