Southwest Media Group Promotes Eric Schaefer to Chief Digital Officer

DALLAS, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Southwest Media Group, one of the nation’s premier independent media service agencies, has promoted Eric Schaefer to chief digital officer. In his new role as a company officer, he will guide overall direction as data and media insights drive company growth.

Schaefer has also been named president of Programmatic Republic, which operates as an independent company as part of Southwest Media Group. It serves as a digital media resource, providing data-driven digital media strategies and transparent buying to independent agencies throughout the country.

Nichol says digital billings at Southwest Media Group are up 44 percent since Schaefer joined the company at the beginning of 2014, with overall agency growth up 26 percent. He says Programmatic Republic’s transparent model and ongoing insights continue to help put the company at the forefront of offering smarter ways to invest media dollars.
