Omni Hotels & Resorts Taps Southwest Media Group To Lead Media Planning And Buying Initiatives

Southwest Media Group, one of the Southwest’s premier media and marketing services agencies, has been named media planning and buying agency for Dallas-based Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Omni is recognized for creating genuine, authentic guest experiences at almost 60 distinctive luxury hotels and resorts across North America. Earlier this year, the brand acquired five new resorts within the U.S., bringing the number within the collection to 13.

Highly acclaimed for its strategic and creative media planning services, Southwest Media Group won the account after working with Omni and its advertising agency AvreaFoster on Omni’s meetings and conventions business since January 2013. Southwest Media Group will support Omni’s resort properties, including: Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas; Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.; Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.; and The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va.

Southwest Media Group recently integrated an augmented reality campaign in the Omni meetings and conventions print plan, a first for a North American upper upscale hotel brand. The agency partnered with Aurasma, the largest augmented reality provider in the world, to create the branded app, “Omni LIVE.” This unique app helps bring to life the Omni experience and is a prime example of the strategic thinking that led Omni to extend its partnership with Southwest Media Group.
